Orthotics
Orthotics are custom-made inserts for your shoes that are designed to support and improve the functioning of your feet. They correct and eliminate biomechanical problems arising from structural imbalances in the foot. An imbalance in the foot can result in ankle and knee pain, pelvic or hip pain, spinal pain and even headaches. Orthotics prevent foot misalignment, modify areas of weight-bearing within the foot, and are able to alter the way in which the bones move within their joints.
At Glenbourne Chiropractic Clinic, we utilize the Footmaxx metascan system. A computerized analysis of your gait is performed and that is used to manufacture your custom foot orthotics, if deemed necessary by the Doctor. During your evaluation we will look at how your gait is affecting your body as a whole and advise you on how to reach your personal goals. This may include providing you with custom-made orthotics manufactured based on your individual needs.

The Footmaxx metascan is a 3D digital gait analysis. Using pressure mapping technology we can actually see underlying problems with your foot function and gait patterns that would otherwise be unseen by the naked eye. By mapping the pressure data 150 times per second from heel contact to toe off, we can get to the source of the dysfunction and make that first step in your road to health.
